Melbourne Pictures

We went from Tasmania to Melbourne to visit Aunty Naomi and Uncle Ro and our cousins Emma and Gus. It was hot there, and we went to the beach and played in their paddling pool.

Routeburn Track!

Last week we left Dunedin and went to the Routeburn.  It is a track with huts along the way and it takes 3-4 days to walk the whole thing.  It goes through Mt Aspiring National Park and Fiordland National Park.  It takes 2.5 hours to get to the first hut.  It takes 1.5 hours to get to the second hut.
The first day we went to the first hut, the second day we did a day walk up to the second hut. On the last day it was raining and we walked back down to the carpark.

This is me on one of the swing bridges.

This is near the first hut.  The first night we camped at the campsite. Then the second night we stayed in the hut.

This is me as far as we went.  We had lunch at the second hut and then went back down to the first hut.  You can see the roof of the second hut very faintly in this picture.

I'm in New Zealand now!

We went on the Tree Top Walk two times.  Lily decided we should go on it two times!  It's a high up walk way up in the giant Tingle trees in Western Australia.

Now I'm in New Zealand!  I'm staying in Dunedin at my cousins' house.  Yesterday we went to the pool.  We had to walk all the way to the bus stop and then get the bus all the way to the last stop.  The pool is outside by the sea.  Pippa told us the waves go over the wall into the pool sometimes!  There's lots of toys in the pool to play with.  There was flippers and kind of donut-shaped floats and some boards and some goggles.
This is us going to the salt water pool.  Did you notice!  Lily and Pippa have the same skirt on!

Bruce's farm

We are staying at Clem's friend Bruce's farm (on the south coast of WA between Albany and Denmark).  It's really really big.  It's 1500 acres and there is 900 cows!  He also grows lots of asparagus, raspberries, sweetcorn, sugar snap peas, melons, bramble berries, jerusalem artichokes, and tomatoes.  We had a ride on the ute (a pickup truck) and we picked asparagus and corn and raspberries.

This is me on the ute.  We went to check the cows and the water pump for the asparagus.

We are staying in a 'shack' in the asparagus patch.  It's a really nice shack.  It's got three beds in one room and one bed in another.  It's got a kitchen and bathroom.  The water comes from the rain and gets stored in a big tank.  We can't use that much water.

We played in the asparagus patch with Bruce's daughter Elsa.  She came for a sleepover at the shack.
